Crafting N112DR

I was talking with a FAA inspector from our Local FISDO. He told me that he had heard of a Rotax 912iS engine being infected with a Virus that caused the engine to quiet in flight. I have looked long and hard in the FAA SDR database and the NTSB database, I can find no validation of this claim. He said he would look into this more and get me more facts. I said "PLEASE DO!"
Has anyone heard of this? Seams Very unlikely but never say never.
