The engine hoist was $40k, they throw the engine in with every purchase (this is a new Harbor Fright deal I believe)

Woz gonna ask the same question since my naked TB O-360, received just a month ago, was naked, as in no fuel no ignition, and did cost close to $40K...

And separate accounting is was I learnt from my 1st marriage.

Let’s say $40k ISH…….

I can't get my head around that kind of cost. I built my RV-4, including a 0-time overhaul, a nice Garmin GPS/Comm, and professional paint for that much.
