Falcon Flight is pleased to announce our 2026 Falcon Flight Formation Clinic:

Where: Bartlesville OK KBVO

When: Thursday-Sunday 14-17 May

This clinic’s flying will conform to formation standards as published by Formation Flying Inc – FFI.

Please visit https://groups.io/g/FalconFlight-FTC to request membership to our Clinic’s Group page, then read the landing page for all of the details.

Be aware that there are some changes this year, the most obvious being the "sign up deposit" which counts toward the $200 clinic fee. By paying this $50 up front, you are demonstrating your intent to actually attend this clinic and not just "hold a spot". It is refundable up until APRIL 30 2026, after which if YOU cancel for any reason, this is considered a donation to the clinic to offset fixed costs. If WE cancel the clinic (due to WX, etc), this fee will be refunded (less any paypal fees).

Contact me if you have any questions. See you in Bartlesville!

Signed up! Other than the prescribed study material, is there anything else worth studying or practicing before showing up, for a complete newbie?

I'm still a relative newb but I've done two of these clinics, they're a great experience and a blast! I practiced the overhead approach before the first one because that was something new to me. Otherwise, practice flying your plane with precision and proficiency. Know your settings for a 100 KIAS climb and 130 KIAS cruise. It's all visual, not looking inside at all. There's not a lot of dawdling on the ground so be able to get through your checklists and runup quickly.

I plan to be on the west coast, but happy to see this happening again. Also our group has discussed the same deposit method which I think is a great idea.
