It's on again!
I will be managing the beer tasting again for all you early arrivals. Sunday 7/20, 1700, sort of…

To participate, You must bring in & contribute some of your best local brew to share with all. Be creative in your selection. I don't want to see any commercial brews like Bud Light, Miller Lite or Busch lite... Try it & You will be escorted out of HBC! If you neglected to bring your own local, Spotted Cow or Oshkosh local beer will be accepted.
We only want the best of the best.

BTW, This is not an official EAA event. So be covert in getting your brews to HBC.
We'll start collecting around 1500 to put it on ice.

You must be 21 yo to participate & please drink responsibly, so we may continue again next year.

A donation jar will be made available for ice & 100% of the proceeds will benefit HBC.

Edit: Please be respectful to others at HBC who may not be participating.

Always one of the best events of the show. Respectfully request to not "open" the coolers till around 5. Some of us are working and can't get there earlier. Thanks for doing this Dan.

Thank you Danny.

Added to the OSH'25 sticky (it's the FIRST thing to do).

Hey Darwin, Thanks. We always try our best to wait until 5:00, but the natives get awfully restless on the countdown.

Maybe it's just me but when reaching into a tub of iced beer I'd much prefer to not have to be concerned about broken glass waiting for me. 🥶🤕

I'm proud to announce and describe my contribution to the beer exchange: A home-brew called "La Fin de Scrolle"
This ale is a Texas homebrewer's take on a Belgian Tripel. It's about 9.8% ABV, and it's delicious. The brewer is my great friend Mike Humphrey, Col, USAF (ret).

Background: Mike and I were colonels together on the HQ USAF staff in the Pentagon before we parted for different assignments, then retired. I lost track of him for a few years after I moved to Texas and finished KELLI GIRL.

Last fall we again crossed paths in Salado TX, where he lives now. He said he has taken up homebrewing, and asked me what's my favorite beer or ale. I replied "La Fin du Monde", the strong Belgian-style Tripel from Unibroue Brewery. He said he can make that! His first batch was close, and good. This is the second batch and it is fantastic!

His wife Judy grabbed an image of me in flight from Kelli's facebook, and they labeled the new ale "Le Fin de Scrolle". What an honor!

I'll bring a 6-pack and distribute the 6 bottles across the ice chests. If you find one, enjoy! (just watch the high ABV).

See y'all Sunday!

I had the pleasure of having one tonight. Really clean & smooth. 9.6%, was a real kicker. Loved it.
