RV10 oil cooler turning vane dimensions

Does anyone out there have the dimensions, drawings, or airflow systems instructions for the RV10 oil cooler turning vane?

Also, has anyone flown their RV10 before and after this modification and if so, what have the temperature drops been?

Many Thanks

Mike

Ok no replies in three days but a lot of views. I think people are unclear on the request. I’ve been to their website and don’t see the product you’re referring to. Can you provide more detail?

I made a vane very similar to carl’s but it has been there since first flight. I maybe see 205 when climbing to altitudes above 10k on hot days, but otherwise always 185. However some of that is from my ignition advancing with the lower MAP once above 8k.

Thanks Carl, exactly what I was looking for. What temps do you see with the turning vane in place?
Don’t yet know.

On the first RV-10 I mounted the oil cooler as shown. Never had a oil temp problem but you need to be careful doing this as there fit is tight.

My RV10 is the first one with the Sam James original cowl, (installed by Sam James), Barrett forward induction IO-540, 9.0-1.
Originally had GRT avionics and oil temperatures in the 180 to 200 range. Just did a Garmin G3X upgrade and now my oil temperature is showing 10 to 15° higher.
I did nothing physical to the oil cooler. Decided a turning vane was in order and will get one installed this week to see if my temps come down. The Garmin G3X does not allow for calibration of the oil temperature so it reads what it reads.

As I have the thunderbolt with oil squirters I had to use the larger X2007 cooler. It wouldn't fit the stock mount. I decided to use Carls idea and bolt the filter to the firewall. It's all WIP (work in progress).

Thanks again for inspiration Carl!
