I am looking to build a few hours of time in an RV-7A with a CFI to meet insurance requirements. I am located in Daytona but am willing to travel and split costs of course.
+1. Significant difference in cost between you furnishing your -7 and the cfi furnishing the airplane (LODA required, insurance cost).
And what do you mean, “split costs”? Are you expecting to find a cfi who will help pay for your training?
Thanks for your comments I didn’t make my post clear enough.
In Florida I would be looking to provided the 7A and “split cost” would not be the right term. I would cover airplane cost and CFI’s time.
The 7A I am purchasing is a northeast Pennsylvania, so alternatively if there was a CFI in that area I would be able to use that for my training and just be looking for a CFI.
My insurance is requiring 3 hours of dual instruction.
