Snip of new info released from Van's Facebook page.

"Two booths. Four forum presentations. Daily prize giveaways. New merch. And one very special airplane you haven't seen yet."

Wait. What? "And one very special airplane you haven't seen yet."

Maybe The Impossible Airplane?

Wasn’t the RV2 the pivot wing?
That is the RV-5
The RV-2 was meant to be a flying wing styled sail plane using wood construction, that only had a small amount of construction work completed.
Eventually, the bubble canopy that had been intended to be used on the RV-2, was instead used on the RV-5.

Yes, got the number wrong. I remember seeing it tucked in the back of Van’s shed back when I was picking up my first RV6 project, quite the awkward looking thing 😉

I'll take a guess. The RV-16 will be there. We all know this is a four seat utility aircraft. It will have the RV-15 wing design but slightly longer ...It might even be the original "RV-15 long wing". It will use the same gear, tailwheel, and empennege as the -15. The market hype is easy to attain and a lot of barriers have been removed by the -15 development.

Aurora is too small for any surprise's like a new secretly built Van's Aircraft to be kept a secret all year. How about the first RV15 Factory Built to be marketed as a NON-EAB? Ready for future mass production like the RV12. Getting Warm?

We want to head back Idaho with our RV15 next year. Who has flown to 45 Ranch ? It was great experience for us in 2026.

It’s going to be an RV8 with titanium Whitman gear legs to get rid of those gear leg towers interfering with the pilot’s knees. And it’ll have an IO540 engine to really liven it up. Maybe shorten the wing by a foot or two to improve handling in turbulence. It’ll climb like a…. a…. Space Vehicle.

Oh wait. Never mind.

😜

My guess is on N70SH, Garmin's RV-7A AXIS flying testbed.

It has been in many of the Garmin videos and in one of Aviation101 videos where Garmin engineers fly N70SH to Midwest Panel Builders.

N70SH even has OSH in the tailnum.

...Edit added the folliwing...

On second thought, I'm going to hedge my guess and say could be a SLSA RV-12isT with AXIS.

So my guess, is a Vans RV with AXIS.

We had 3 Carbon Cubs at the 45 ranch early June. I'm looking forward to the extra speed in the RV15. It's a long way from MI.
The 45 Ranch was really fun, the first approach and pattern were interesting.

Since we're making fun guesses, and the internet loves easter eggs...I'll go with the latest iteration of the RV-15 painted to match that Lego bush plane that was randomly flashed at the start of that video today.

Basically impossible, but it's some fun for a Friday morning.

I was on the phone with builder support yesterday and asked about it (I wasn’t the first I was told) and they had no clue. Said the lowly folks in tech support aren’t told anything.
But he did say the 15 is getting ready for drop testing so the fuse should be near final config.

You realize that ChatGPT has just summarized this thread, right?
