I am trying to lower the ticketing overhead cost, so I set up my own ticket server at
https://tickets.rv10.org/events/OSH2026/
It will go online as soon as I have the Wisconsin tax situation sorted out. SOS charges us sales tax but in previous years, we also paid sales tax on the tickets. Seems double taxation to me, so will call the DOR tomorrow.

Since you are then a reseller, you should be tax exempt and not pay SOS. Of course, that means you need to file forms with WI and get a tax exemption certificate. Kind of a pain...

Filed for a business permit this morning, should get that within two days, then I can file for tax exempt status.
 
So far smooth sailing: tickets are going through. Please let me know if there are any issues. I host the ticketing system myself using "Pretix" software and credit card processing by Stripe.
