Two trips to Taiere - first to congratulate my daughter for passing her CPL Flight Test (woohoo!!!) then the second trip to ferry her back to Taiere after relocating the Monsun to NZCS where it belongs.
It was a big day for Mikayla - at the airfield at 07:30 to get the aircraft ready to go... 08:30 to 12:00 with ground work and flying, a quick lunch, then ferry the Bolkow back to Cromwell... back to Taiere in the RV-6 to load up her car then a 3.5 hour drive home... getting in around 22:30. I'm sure glad it wasn't me having to do a 3.5 hour drive after a full and stressful day like that although I'd like the energy of a 21 year old again.
What a stunning day too... just awesome. My wife jumped ship on the way home from Taiere and flew with our daughter while I sat alongside in the RV-6 for a bit and enjoyed those few minutes of happiness you can only experience when flying alongside your family on a clear, calm day. The feelings of pride for my daughter brought tears to my eyes.

We are at Bryce Canyon this weekend. Looked up to follow an airplane's sound this morning (11:00 AM Local) to see an RV ( a -10 I think) headed North on the East side of the park...
I just got back to where I left off on my rv10 build since having to order replacement parts. L and R elevator ribs don’t exactly match up, rather than drill out a whole bunch it was easy to reorder. Hoping to finish empenage by Oshkosh. Might make an order to save 3%…
