Gtr205xr discrete inputs

For anyone with the remote mount version GTR205xR, do you have remote tune up and down available for your discrete inputs? I asked Garmin and they couldn't answer for some reason but the manual shows they are available for the xR.

Yes, the GTR205xR does support remote tune up/down through the discrete inputs. If it’s not showing, it may be software version related.

there's only one software version for GTR205xR which is 2.21, and GDU460 has the most recent update, confirmed with Garmin. I'm trying to figure out if this is a setting problem hidden somewhere or a glitch that needs to be fixed on the next update. Do you have it installed with the discrete inputs assigned?

Update per garmin. With the remote mount version, you can't toggle between user frequencies since they are not saved in the com. They say the manual wasn't clear. Hmmmmm......

This is correct, the GTR 205(x)R doesn't have a screen, so has no user interface for user frequency management.

Yeah. They are stored in the GDU and I asked Garmin to add the feature to the next G3x update, but no guarantee of course. Although not an essential feature, it is frustrating to learn a feature is not available and mentioned nowhere in the manual or the internet. Do better, Garmin.
