can I get a sanity check

Which dimple size is used on the trim cable hatch on the elevators? Im guessing the same is used on the re-enforcement plate that holds the nut plate.
the screw is the AN507-6R6 with K100-06 nut plates.
The manual gets a bit weird on page 9-7 with these and my brain is failing me

Use #6 dimple dies. The AN507-6R6 is a #6 flush screw and matches the K1000-6 nutplates.

Have you tried dimpling a piece of scrap with a #40 bit hole using the same thickness material and dimple dies which allows screw to fit flush?

Thanks, I had used the 1/8 and totally forgot I had the #6 dimples. This is why I asked my spider senses were going off.

I did one for the screw head but it seems to be less flush than I thought it should but it seems thats just how the will be.

yeah totally, even with the enjoyment and therapeutic nature of it, you are correct I still find myself saying “wtf was thinking this is insane!”

I have found the bottom wing skins completely removed all enjoyment and therapy from my build. 3/4 done.. can't wait to be finished with these!

yeah I invested in a few well worth the money items to make building much better and enjoyable this time.

You may need extra therapy after the cabin top and doors

one or 2 turns with a de-burring tool should resolve that issue; or even better, see if you can get a tank dimple die from Bob Avery or Aircraft Spruce as they are slightly deeper and won't remove any aluminum...

Once I realized I had the #6 and #8 dimple dies all was well.
