Tele Radio T60TX-03STL-US hangar remote gave up the ghost. Any ideas?

My hangar remote sleeps with the fishes after many years of faithful service.

What are people doing these days?

Refurb online for $170. https://www.radwell.com/Buy/TELE RADIO/TELE RADIO/T60TX-03STL-US

‘Recommended by Schweiss’ modern hardware replacement is $700+

The 'clean all the corrosion' approach has been tried, and failed.

I may just end up using the key and pushing the button inside to raise. <g>.

If you don’t understand the failure mode(s), you cannot hope to fix the problem(s)…

So - what’s the data telling you?

Push button. Door no open. Battery contacts cleaned. Batteries replaced. No joy.

Other two remotes work. Factory stopped making the remote 8 years ago.

Here's what I use: 3-Button garage door opener (PBS-3). Runs about $17. Remote control system PB3-DRC. Runs about $145 and includes additional PBS-3.

Works great!

Encouraged at this possible solution.
Appreciate the tip (and will update when I know more),

Clean the switch contacts instead - probably graphite buttons that touch across a grid - a little Iso-alcohol scrub on the pcb contacts should do the trick.

Yep, that's it. Works great. Took almost 20 minutes to install. Of course I already had the 3-button opener, so basic wiring was already there.

Come over and take a look.

Fixed:
Completely disassembled. Internals cleaned with electronics cleaner. Works now. Nice to know there is a relatively cheap solution down the road, when it finally breaks.
