FAA form 8100-1

I’m scheduled for my airworthiness in the next week or so. It’s an FAA FSDO fellow. He requested a form 8100-1. He sent a link that I’ll attach. This isn’t indicated in any EAA resources or honestly any experimental documentation I can find. This isn’t for an RV, it’s for a Glasair 3 RG but the topic is relevant to a bunch of folks here. If anyone can help it is appreciated. My understanding is the inspector fills it out. I included files from the Glasair forum.
Thx
Howard Rhodes

I think it's sort of a checklist for the FAA inspector or DAR that documents that he has included all required forms and so on for the job.
Required for him but not for you. My inspector made the same error, just having cut and pasted it from From 8130.2 requirements.

I’ll confirm - the owner does NOT fill out the 8100-01 - that is for the inspector/DAR to do! They spend two days at Initial Aircraft Airworthiness Class in OKC on filling it out, so no - the inspector should not be expecting you to do it. You’ve clearly drawn a short straw with an inexperienced inspector (there are LOTS of them these days), and you’ll have to sound him out carefully to see if he is someone willing to learn or someone who believes he knows it all already.

Interesting. I just had a FSDO inspector ask for my original 8100-1, I took the LSRI class and am trying to get my LSRI rating and change my operating limits on my aircraft so I can sign off the CI's. Not sure how we will resolve this one.

How does this form fit in with applying for new OP's??

What are OP’s? Do you mean operating limitations?

Regardless, as Paul mentioned in this thread, and I’ve mentioned elsewhere, the Form 8100 –1 is a form used by an inspector to meet a requirement set by the FAA. It is used to document all of the steps that an inspector took in the process of issuing a certificate.

The inspector is required to upload the completed form to AWC when he is closing out the certification activity.

So an applicant should never see this form or even hear about it.
