Prop Pitch Tool

Anyone have a lead on where I can get the prop pitch tool for the Sensenitch 2 bladed prop? Tool 00002. Its backordered on the Vans store until late May apparently. I recently got my gearbox inspection done and they didn't have the tool to restore the pitch. They just marked where the prop blades were and eyeballed it during reinstall. I live in Las Vegas so if anyone local has one that I could borrow that would be awesome. Willing to pay for expedited shipping also and I'll return it asap. It's unfortunate there isn't a 3D printing file for this part.

I agree this should be something pretty easy to draw up and then 3d print or get made. Ours is out at the maintenance facility.

Maybe someone else can be faster to get one and document the key dimensions.

Van's told me the wooden tool that comes with the prop isn't accurate enough. I used the metal piece from Van's with a magnetic laser level which made a red dot on the floor. It was easy to get the dots from each blade to overlay on the floor.

Thanks for that info.

Does someone have a picture of the “metal piece” from Van’s used to set prop piece since the wooden tool isn’t accurate?

The photos in both of the previous posts gave me the chills, second guessing my work. Like Tony said, follow the plans but also make sure you use the appropriate section for your equipment.

For the three blade the orientation of the tool with respect to the stripe is different.

It does not matter if you use the stripe, what is important is that you use the same distance from the hub on all blades. On my prop the stripe is 1/8” different between blades.
The location you use will give a different degree measurement because the blade has a constant twist. You are setting the pitch for a specific performance not to match someone else's numbers, that is only a starting point.

Not to worry. My photos weren't taken during the pitch process
