Did I mess up my spinner?

I made a measuring mistake and cut away more of the spinner/blade gap than I wanted on both sides. The gap is about 5/8” and I can get a fingertip in there. Is this too much gap such that I need a new spinner and start over? Or is there no real penalty other than perhaps looking a little goofy?

Thanks.

Probably never notice it, but, how about learning a new skill?
“Scarf” a new piece in there.

Easy fix with fiberglass. research scarf joint.

Thanks for the recommendations for the scarf. I am no fan of fiberglass work, and I would probably make it worse. Plus wouldn't a botched wad of poor glass work just make it very unbalanced?

Go look at a factory bird. You’ll feel better.
More gap is better than chaffing, so I’d leave it alone, make it even and move on.
