No new Garmin G3XT updates for over a year?

Notice no new Garmin G3XT experimental software updates since version 9.52 on 20th Match 2025.

No significant bugs to fix in over a year is good, however surely there are still some new features or enhancements left in this platform?

what else would you want it to do? I'm genuinely curious. I can't think of any other features that would be on my wish list. It's pretty awesome at this point.

There’s a list of about 15 or so bugs floating around - not the least of which is the FIS-B/TFR data not showing up.

Then there are improvements to the user timer controls and function..

😎

Is that still a thing? I thought that got fixed. I must be out of the loop

Well supporting the GCO14 would be nice, maybe its in the G4X ?
Absolutely agree!! Why would Garmin not support its own. Such a non Garmin thing to do. I put one in my old Cessna with a 275 but a g3x in the RV won’t work. Hmmm! I had to figure a work around with the 275 so maybe someone will figure it out in the g3x.

Looks like the GCO14 carbon monoxide detector is only supported by; GTN650Xi, GTN750Xi, GI275 or G500TXi.

AITHRE has the Shield EX 3.0 that connects to a GEA25 and alerts on the G3X Touch.
Pricing, lifetime (10 years) and functionality seems similar.

No new updates because most of the manpower has been directed towards a new product.. Think GTN650 vs GTN650xi...

It is a good guess but it does not tell us what the new features will be or the cost increase (prices never go down) or how long it will be before the new product is released.

Not supporting the GCO14 carbon monoxide detector is odd when there is the high quality AITHRE cmd competitor available.

There is a fairly sizable base of G3X Touches installed and slowly running down support annoys customers and over time they stop recommending Garmin products.

Oh there are definitely bugs to be fixed. How about no TFR updates!!! I’ve been talking with Garmin for over a year on this. It’s pretty ridiculous when the system is advertised as being able to show TFR’s
I’m definitely going another route on my next plane.
