I have these on my 7. Nicely made. I know there are others as well.

Pics ?Two pieces of black heater hose (split & double stacked).. and 2 hose clamps per pedal...... save $85.00 to $97.00 per 2 pedals.
Those are the ones that my original builder elected to use when he built my airplane. They’ve worked fine for a decade. It isn’t something that I’d want to dogpatch together.I REALLY like mine from AntiSplat Aero... they are aluminum square tube.
So if peddle extensions are considered a must have by so many, then why aren't they in the kit?
I have no issues on my plane without them. Can't figure out why so many people need 'em.Great question. It was one of the first things I ordered for my 7A when I bought it. I was having nasty trouble operating the rudder without pushing on the breaks. Installed the AntiSplat ones, and now I am happy.
Any of us who are flying an RV built by someone else are using rudder pedal positioning that is not of our choosing.I have no issues on my plane without them. Can't figure out why so many people need 'em.
You know you can adjust the pedals, right? There are (should be) holes to relocate the hangar blocks, then you can also shorten (or replace with longer) the links that attach the cables. You shouldn’t be stuck with a poor fitting plane, make it fit YOU! With that being said, I am still a fan of the pedal extensions.. they help keep feet from inadvertently applying brake.Any of us who are flying an RV built by someone else are using rudder pedal positioning that is not of our choosing.

I guess that works if you are shorter than the builder.Yes, I know that. It's much simpler to add rudder pedal extensions and the change of angle helps keep the feet off the brakes.
No clue. I’ve never met the builder.I guess that works if you are shorter than the builder.
I have no issues when there is no carpet in the plane, but I installed Classic Aero carpets in my -9A and it lifts my feet enough that I have a hard time manipulating the rudder without touching the brakes. Had to remove the carpet to fly, so hoping pedal extensions might allow for the carpet to come back (which looks lovely).I have no issues on my plane without them. Is it carpet directly under your heels? Might be better if there was some sort of scuff pad there that allows your heels to move smoothly. I've seen some carpets with that built in.I have no issues when there is no carpet in the plane, but I installed Classic Aero carpets in my -9A and it lifts my feet enough that I have a hard time manipulating the rudder without touching the brakes.
