Rib Flanges

How are the angles on the rib flanges for the kit as delivered? Do I need to build a Gast rib flange tool? Thanks.

Mine have required little to no bending.
Fluting, yes. But they are pretty perpendicular.

It’s the biggest time saver tool I have ever made.

The angle off vertical is 11 degrees. Worked well for me on my primitive RV-3B kit. I'd suggest making the working end of the handle fairly narrow to accomodate curved parts, and another with a wide end for straighter parts.

Good idea on the two different sizes. Based on what TShort said, I think I'll wait on the kit to see how things look.

I made one to use on my -14. Used it a lot. Saves time. Requires a lille finesse.

Time saver? So I’m guessing you can crack more than one nut at a time?
