Looking for a RV10 fiberglass SME near southeast Florida…

Every time I contemplate the fiberglass tasks, I start to itch…even if I am looking at the plans from my home office computer.

Every fiberglass project task I have completed has a vague resemblance surficially to Skeletor. Structural fine but not pretty. I have seen examples of work that evidence artistry but there is no artistry in my work product.

I am looking for some who can mentor me thru the canopy and door tasks. I (and the project) can travel if needed.

Suggestions?

Synergy Air South KCCO airport - Newnan, GA (Atlanta suburb). 4 or 5 (maybe more) RV-10’s there now.

My neighbor went there on my recommendation several years ago to do only the cabin top and doors, but ended up staying there to complete his plane. Won an Outstanding Workmanship plaque at OSH.

EDIT - I noticed you are at Sebastian. Isn’t that where Velocity is? Surely there are fiberglass/composite artists there?

After 33 years in GRP, I can tell you that you need to wear cotton clothes, not nylon synthetic clothes.

Yes, Velocity. All of my hangar neighbors are fiberglass people. None however with specific RV10 experience. They do like to sand and buff so when I get to that stage, they are all in..

Thanks

I’ll second Synergy. They know their stuff, have integrity, and run a tight shop. I needed to replace my windscreen on my -10 and didn’t want the plane down for the period of time it would have taken me to get the work done. I dropped the plane off on my way to work and picked it up at the end of the week. Their glass work is wonderful. Get your checkbook out, but then again my time isn’t free either. They are highly recommended and worth the effort.
