Does anyone know where I can find the wiring diagram for my aircraft? I have an RV-12iS with the Garmin IFR package shipped in 2024. The one on the Van's site (updated 2025) does not cover the avionics that I have. The wiring diagram online includes a GTX-45R transponder and I have a GTX-35R. The GTX-35R does not include ADSB-in so I was supplied a GDL-50R for for ADSB-in. The diagram online does not show the GDL-50R at all. I will also email Van's but it usually takes a week or two for them to get back to me and perhaps someone on the forum has already obtained the proper documentation.

I need to do some changes to my aircraft and I need to know how things are wired now.

I have already downloaded those files and the most recent should apply to my aircraft:

ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS 912 iS G3X
[IFR avionics package with GMC 507]
(WH-00136-3) R0
Updated: 3.2025 – Applies only to wiring harnesses shipped after September 2020

This is the one I mention in the OP and it has the wrong transponder and does not include the GDL-50R.

Contact Stein Air. If there is an updated drawing, they will have it. Most likely that will be faster than getting it from Vans.

That's a great idea. I just sent them an email.


Stein Air responded quickly as always. They are not allowed to release Van's IP.

See what Van's is able to provide.

Here's the drawing for WH-00136-2 (Rev 0), which is probably what you have. Its the G3x IFR with the GMC 507 autopilot module (with the TRK button) but before they revamped the transponder stuff (they removed the GDL-5xR adsb/xm receiver in favor of the GTX45 [adsb in/out] rather than the GTX35 [asdb out only]). Apparently XM is no longer an option with the latest avionics kit.
