Getting started on brake lines

Was going to use some SS flex lines down the gear legs but alum is working out very well. BTW made the loops around the gear using a roll of duck tape to form the aluminum around. Also will use 2in lengths of 1/4 ID fuel pressure hose and gorilla tape to secure to gear. Adel’s in pics are for gear stiffeners as well as securing lines to engine mount, curves around mounts clear cowls.

MUCH overkill on the loops at the wheel. The brake caliper only moves a fraction of an inch.

The loops are what Vans call-out in their instructions. And, I think it's mainly for ease of removal and reinstallation of the calipers for brake pad changes.

Your install is tidy but I try to route the lines down the back side of the gear legs in the unlikely event you catch some debris or hit a bird.

Looks Good, I went SS braided after my Nylos failed one too many times. The stress loop is a good thing, but make sure you can get a jack mechanism under there if you use one that goes on the radius/caliper bracket of the gear leg. I always jack mine with a rod coming out the hollow axle after removing the big nut , as do most RV-4 guys, so the loop isn't a factor for that.
