I remember reading years ago about who has the best pricing on aviation oil, but can't seem to find that thread. Any recommendations for Phillips X/C supplier? So far with google search, Aviation Oil Depot has the best pricing with free shipping over $100.

I use oil-store.com. They happen to be local to me, so not sure how much shipping runs, but they had the best per-quart price I could find.

Going to OSH? There is a booth there and you can pick up as many cases you need and avoid shipping costs.

Thanks everyone. I have nothing local and, once again for another year, not going to Airventure. Aviation Oil Outlet it is!

I've been using Petroleum Services Inc. Better than the local Indianapolis wholesaler in price and I get it delivered to my house. I usually buy 6 cases at a time.

I've used aviation oil outlet for years, but last week I checked their prices against AC Spruce and Spruce had them beat by 86 cents per 6-pack of Aeroshell 15W50, with free shipping on a large enough order. I picked up a half-dozen filters and 4 cases of oil, no shipping.

I bought 36 qts of Phillips at Sun n Fun for $6.25 a qt , hauled it home in the 9A . Happy days

I get my Phillips XC 20W50 here:

$7.25 per QT // $87 per case. Free shipping. Last time I ordered 4 cases, 2 for me, 2 for a friend.
Airpower is awesome. I've bought a lot from them. But I was told they don't sell by the case. And now it's $7.56/qt. If you buy at least 2 cases, Aviation oil outlet has them all beat.

I've had great experience with MacFarlane Aviation. Their price on Aeroshell Sport 4 for Rotax is a little less than the ones mentioned above when you add in shipping and sales tax. And I get it delivered in Michigan in two days!

Checking prices, I find Amazon to have the best pricing for 6x1qt. All the other sites are more once they add the shipping.

You might try an industrial oil supplier (semi trucks, heavy equipment etc) near you. While they may not stock aviation oil they can get as many or as few cases as you want delivered through their standard freight methods. I have found this to be the best way to get oil. It beats the Osh and SnF prices.

I ended up purchasing a 55 gal drum of Phillips Victory 20W-50 from PSC. I have a friend that gets all his companies oil and grease from them so shipping was nil.
$1,228
$5.58 per qt.

The pump handle was another $66.00, one time charge.

As a data point PSC is a few dollars less than Amazon (free shipping) for XC 20W-50 shipped ground.

PSC has been my source for several years now.

Just curious why you guys are using victory vs non-victory XC and camguard. You do know that the additive in victory is not the same as camguard? (Which is why I'm guessing your are using victory - for the anti scuff additive)

They have the best price indeed. But the shipping cost to my place doubles it.

I’ve purchased my oil from Air Power, Inc. Prices were good, and ground shipping is free in the US. I purchased 4 cases of Phillips 20-50 about a year ago - 2 for me, 2 for a friend. I’ll do the same thing an again in about a month.

I have been buying from aviation oil outlet. Free shipping over $99. I buy 2 cases at the time.

The data points that matters:
-The product,
-its Final cost per quart,
-Its packaging (quart bottles, gallons, or drum) and
-the supplier you used.

Agree with the first three points. What is the concern with the supplier, service, time to ship, counterfeit...?

I found a local oil and lubricant dealer whose typical clients are farmers and manufacturing facilities. Turns out they stock aviation oil because one of their regular customers buys it for his crop duster.

I don't think they've realized they can charge the extra aviation markup, and I'm not going to be the guy who tells them. I believe the last case I bought was $56. No shipping because I picked it up.

Maybe I'm just lucky living in farm country, but you might find a deal if you call around to your local oil and gas dealers.

I want to know where I can buy the oil. there is no point in the thread Without this data point.
Several have mentioned where they purchase from. I checked all of those, but found none beat Amazon when buy in smaller quantities 6 to 18 qts. I am specifically looking at AeroShell 15-50 and could not find any good offers with free shipping as mentioned above. Everything with free shipping was for Phillips, or the price was not as good as Amazon which has no $99 requirement for free shipping if you are a Prime member which I am.

I use airplaneoil.com. I live close to Pensacola so I can pickup from their warehouse there saving shipping.

Anybody in the Denver area might try Lottman Oil. Small business with very competitive pricing. He even delivered it straight to my door for no extra charge.

Same, only I pick it up at local distributor here in StCharles MO
Look for local distributor and go pick it up is your best bet for cheap oil.
