Seat locking track modification

Ran across an RV10 that has a modified locking track enabling the seat to travel further back, making it easier to get in and out of the airplane
I’ve searched the web to see if I can find anything and coming up empty.
Anyone else modify the locking track?

Be certain that there is an appropriate stop remaining. The handle assy can break and if your seat slides off the track, you wind up in the back seat. Tough to fly the plane that way. Even if you are just extending the range, that can also be an issue. You need to be certain that if the locking mechanism fails that you can still fly the plane from the max rear seat position where it will end up.

Exercise caution when modifying safety features for convenience!

I've had some big folks get into my 10 and I don't think if the seat were further back it would "help". The difficult part is exiting. And there you just need technique.

If you look at the pictures there is an aft seat stop so that’s not a problem

It helps a lot to have the seat go further back. The area in front of the seat makes a great step to get in and out of
