Dimpling Bulkhead Question

I need to dimple the F705 center bulkhead channel in preparation for the side skin. The problem is there is a doubler plate, F705E, that is riveted to the bulkhead. The bulkhead appears to be a .032 thickness and the best I can tell, the doubler is the same. I don’t know if my squeezer will be able to dimple both and it’s too thin to countersink. Any suggestions on how to get a dimple here?IMG_1574.jpeg

I suggest a call to Vans. They may suggest dimpling with a squeezer then a few turns of a countersink tool.

I know this doesn't help you but thank you! I'm just about to rivet up the 705 bulkhead and now I will dimple the stiffener and channel prior to riveting. I didn't even think of this...
I thought .032 was the bare minimum to CS?

Glad I could help, lol. When people say the fuselage is next level, that’s no joke. There is SO MUCH left out of the instructions that you’re just supposed to figure out on your own. I’m thankful that I’m not building a 6, or one of the earlier models that didn’t have the pre punched holes 🤣

That doesn’t apply if the skin you are cs’ing is not the bottom skin. In your case, there is a doubler below it. The resulting knife edge isn’t relevant here, as the shop head will be formed on the panel below it. Also no problem with a deep cs wallowing off center, as the lower skin holds the pilot.
