Show us a pic of your FINISHED RV-10

That looks awesome! Do you have a build log? I'm curious as to how you did your windows.
Hi Brett
No build log but I have a bajillion pics if you want something specific.
The windows are just done per plans except I used West G-Flex instead of the Lord adhesive.
Two layers of glass over the joint as well.
No movement/cracks anywhere coming up on 400hrs now.
The black is just paint to match the other black stripes.
Cheers

I reassembled my 10 after paint this week.
Almost 10 years to the day from starting also. Except I’ve been flying it bare for almost 3 years. I’m calling it finished now!

It sure looks great, and even the blooper is hard to spot ;-)

Well done to yourself and Flinders on the job.

Thanks DB!
Very happy with their work.
We stared at that blooper for 3 days and didn’t notice it which is crazy.
Will get it fixed at some point.
Cheers

Congratulations to my neighbor who won Grand Champion this year at Sun N Fun. He and his son built a really nice RV-10. They also built an award winning RV-7A shown in the formation picture attached.

Oh, nothing specific per se, it just looks really nice. I do like the windows, the look great! Very well done.

Well it’s probably never finished, but here’s my 10 fresh out of paint at Evoke.

After 3 years and 4 months, LCP part replacement, Van's Bankruptcy cost increases, etc, it became an aircraft this month. Got first flight completed and I am working off the list of small issues. One big issue that took a couple weeks to figure out and fix was making sure you select 3 pulses per revolution on Pmags in Garmin G3X for a 6-cylinder instead of 2 pulses per revolution like it is on a 4-cylinder. Not easy to troubleshoot why the engine isn't producing power when the gauges all read like they should until you realize your 2700 rpm is really only 1800 rpm. Luckily I aborted the takeoff before it was too late.

I did my own paint and will add vinyl graphics for design later. Not the prettiest, but my paint cost under 6K as opposed to the 40K+ I am seeing elsewhere. As a wise builder told me once, paint doesn't fly, airplanes do.

My project finally became an airplane yesterday. Received airworthiness from Indy FSDO and they were wonderful to work with. Thank you VAF for having an answer for everything and for all the friendships it's allowed me to make over the years. There are so many people I need to thank and I'll probably miss a few; Bob Japundza, Ryan, Jake, Thomas, Jon, Bob L, Dwight, Gene, Carl, and Jack. I'm especially thankful for my Wife and kids who let me take time away from them to get this done. It takes a special Wife to put up with this!~b807857.jpeg~b504490.jpeg

Congrats Wes!! Great to see it finished. Looking forward to flying together!!

Also, that paint job looks great!! Well done.
