RV10 SB Door Latch Installation - Can I use JB Weld for the epoxy?

A quick question for you builders: I am installing the Vans additional door latch to comply with the SB. Can I use JB Weld as the epoxy to glue in the backer plates, wear plate, etc? It would have the right consistency but I don't want to screw it up. The installation of the latch kit is going very well.

I think you will find that a majority of -10 builders have used the plane around third latch.

Honestly, it should be STANDARD in every kit.

Not an expert but have been pretty impressed with jb welds strength and adhesion. Is suspect it will be just as strong as west epoxy. Known guys to have used it to seal up cracked engine blocks with repairs lasting years.

Thanks. JB Weld Marine seems to be the correct stuff to use based on its description - for metal and fiberglass.

last couple of months i saw some testing of jb weld and it did very well . i use it. one caution..........the quik set they came out with is no where as strong as the original.
