AF8 crimp tool adapter

I have an AF8 crimp tool, bought second hand. Also have a cheap set of JrReady M22520/2 positioners. I wanted to be able to use them in the AF8, so got dimensions of both crimping tool and positioners from the MIL-C-22520 specs and used FreeCAD to draw up an adapter.

Printed it in Bambu ASA-CF, and found it worked well when tested with M22520/2-08 positioner and M39029/64-369 pins or M39029/63-368 sockets.

Not sure how long it will last, but if it starts to wear I can always print another one...

I'm impressed. Learning a 3D CAD tool is on my bucket list, to be followed quickly by another serious look at the various 3D printer options out there. So far I've been getting by with QCAD and SendCutSend.

If I remember the part numbers correctly - what you've got there is an AF8 to AFM8 adapter!

Matt, so if you are correct, I can use my AFM8 positioners with that adapter and an AF8?
Yes, that's right. I haven't checked it against the spec for every available positioner, but it definitely works for Dsub and Deutsch pins and a couple of others I have tried. I've failed to attach an stp file for anyone who wants to try it. Maybe a moderator could allow this? Note that 3d printers adjust tolerances for circular holes in objects, so it may require some printer setting experiments.
