Behind the panel photos showing harness routing? Dual G3X with AP and Garmin GPS

Howdy folks!
I'm working my way through KAI section 42PiS for the dual G3X Garmin panel and I was wondering if anyone ahead of me had pictures of the wiring layout? There are a couple photos in the plans but anything with some other angles might help me visualize things. Perhaps someone could share some photos or recommend a build log with decent pictures?

Anything would be appreciated!

Lol, looks like I'm a few pages ahead of you! I'm starting to route the cable bundles through some brackets that get installed in section 42PiS. Thanks for the pictures though, that's a very clean looking build

Is your engine installed? You'll have to remove the top skin over the panel and drill the firewall for brackets. That wasn't too hard (luckily I'd used plenty of wax when I sealed the top skin to the firewall) but getting the rivets in from the forward side of the firewall was a PAIN!

Is your engine installed? You'll have to remove the top skin over the panel and drill the firewall for brackets. That wasn't too hard (luckily I'd used plenty of wax when I sealed the top skin to the firewall) but getting the rivets in from the forward side of the firewall was a PAIN!

Yeah, I did all that last fall. I have the wiring and avionics completed, and installed the engine a couple of weeks ago. Spent the last 2 days working on the cowling - least enjoyable part of the build yet (course, I haven’t done the canopy yet - saving the worst for last!).

Did your throttle quadrant cover come pre-powder coated and silk screened or did you order it as an upgrade?

It's a bit hard to tell, but in the 5th photo it looks like some of the fan blades on the pilot side CPU cooling fan may have broken off.

I've had two blades break off that fan in operation. Found one blade on the cabin floor near there, and another floating around the avionics bay on an inspection. I don't know how this happened, but I suspect it may have been some flexing in some turbulence.

Hi Brian - I assume it was part of the upgrade to the avionics package. The panel is powder coated same color and silk screened. My finish kit actually came with a raw aluminum quadrant. Here’s a pic…..
