Not sure I see any other place for it other than the console. I'd move it WAY aft and canter it a little so the radios are actually visible. Here's a picture of my console. LOVE where it is and how it fits............ Upper compartment was for........what were those called?.........oh, yeah: sectionals!!Need some advice on where and how to park GNX 375, please. View attachment 83654 Does it make sense to move the console closer and put 375 on top of the com radio or no? Looking for a "Wow,why didn't I think of that?" idea. Many thanks, Rick
Toss the T&B and put in a uAvionix AC-30. It shows traffic (and a TON of other handy features) and is visually accessible enough to be helpful. Here's a picture of my old panel........If you do not have a repeater display you will want it where you can see it easily as the display is small (at least for my eyes). A repeater display like the 760 portable works well.

Up close where easier to get to and SEE! I like that, thanks! Not sure I see any other place for it other than the console. I been pondering that. AV30 better than another G5?Toss the T&B and put in a uAvionix AC-30. It shows traffic (and a TON of other handy features) and is visually accessible enough to be helpful. Here's a picture of my old panel........
I think so. You have a G5 already. The AV30 is a VERY capable instrument that you might want two of THOSE!!I been pondering that. AV30 better than another G5?
I also added the AV-30 with the AV-HSI module, works very well as a backup ADI and works as the HSI for the 375 and the SL-30. Lot of features, very readable and customizable, simple hook up (P/S, Power, Gnd, RS232, and Arinc 429 (with the AV-HSI module))I think so. You have a G5 already. Had it been available when I bought the Dynon D10A I might have bought it instead.........but, alas.......

To which email do I send the bill? Please advise. And many thanks for being an essential part of my new-to-me 4! Man, this is a great bunch of folks!Next to the G3x touch screen![]()
Thanks, I don't disagree!Well, I own, take care of, and fly a more (SbS) social RV, but who cares anyway...
Not sure about today's US rules, but looking at your present panel, a lot of the stuff is redundant (shields already up and locked...).
All the to date designed RVs can be safely flown (in VMC) by any half competent pilot WITHOUT any flight instruments. Period.
Not sure about today's US requirements, but your panel sports some unnecessary real estate eating dials (backup instruments) which tossed out would easily give place to that nice GNX375.
I've been flying my ride for a few years with that device, and became quite fan of its capabilities, despite a rather small screen size. Since it is a device you would use more often than say a maybe once in lifetime use standby instrument, I would either get rid of that unused stuff, or relegate the same to the sub-panel.
As always, YMMW.
I have the radio and 375 angled up in the lower console between my legs. Connected to the 660 via WiFi. Typically use ForeFlight for an EFB for cross country, which also interfaces wirelessly with the 375, so I don’t have to reach down too much but do occasionally. Thanks, I don't disagree!
Do the AV 30s play well with Foreflight and 375? I use mid-level Sentry with my iPad mini in the 172 partnership airplane because the IFR Garmin stuff is like Greek to meI have the radio and 375 angled up in the lower console between my legs. The AV-30 works fine with the 375 but needs the AV-HSI module for the arinc429 connectivity for HSI, curved path, enroute nav displays etc., I believe the 375 will also work over RS232 if the 375 is your only GPS navigator similar to a handheld input, you can only have one GPS navigator regardless of input. It also needs the wifi AV-link for connectivity with the sentry (I do not have this setup). The 375 has traffic but I don't think this is one of the a currently supported traffic input features on the AV-30, probably on their list for future capability. The 375 will talk to your iPad for weather and traffic over Bluetooth. and from my perspective the 375 and the AV-30 displays are a bit on the small side for effective traffic display.Do the AV 30s play well with Foreflight and 375? Agree with Figs that the display on the GNX 375 is pretty small. I love my GNX 375, but wouldn't like to use it without an Aera 660 or Aera 760 unless it is connected to a larger EFIS system like the G3X Touch. If you do not have a repeater display you will want it where you can see it easily as the display is small (at least for my eyes). Steve, many thanks. I am the autopilot for now. And that's OK. I think for now I will replace Ipad mini with Sentry with an aera 760 with gtx 345. That way I have nav and adsb in and out on an aviation platform. I have other things I am doing to my 4 so I have more things to get done than time and money! I know none of you guys have that issue....LOLAgree with Figs that the display on the GNX 375 is pretty small. The Aera 660/760 receives traffic and weather from the GNX 375. The ability to also process the MapMX curved path data from the GNX 375 and provide a much larger and more useful map is very desirable.
Since you already have one G5, it makes sense to add the 2nd G5 and the remote mounted GAD 29 ARINC interface and start down the path of a full Garmin system with your GNX 375. Not sure what kind of autopilot you have, but that is also an option when you stick with Garmin for everything.

One pic IS worth a thousand words! I am convinced I need an Aera 760. Crawl, walk, & run! Many thanks, RickHere is a picture of the AV-30 and 375 in the panel so you can somewhat judge the utility of the displays.

Blake, at your convenience, pics would be appreciated. I have not yet decided on what to do though I know I need a transponder that will meet 2020 requirements.I own a rv4 with a Garmin 375. I have mine mounted below the instrument panel along with my comm radio. It works good in its location. I can send better pictures and better details if this is something that you would like to do.
I have a D10A over a G5 with the 375, but it’s a six so more panel space. I like the D10 for having AOA, which G5 does not. Dynon’s display of it is stupid though, so I’m audio only with it but I also have a Lift Reserve (rotated 90 degrees clockwise to make more sense). Also adding flare assist radar as GHA-15 is G3X only.I also added the AV-30 with the AV-HSI module, works very well as a backup ADI and works as the HSI for the 375 and the SL-30.
