Windshield crack repair

Any ideas about repairing windshield on my rv7? It appears to be migrating
If you search weldon or weld-on you’ll see a lot of posts about sealing cracked acrylic. Read the most recent carefully. There are 2 viscosities to use depending on what you’re trying to fix. Good luck.

I stop drilled a 4" crack and filled the hole with plexiglass rod. The crack was sealed with the lighter viscosity while the rod was glued in with the thicker. Final finish was with a micromesh kit. There's a little distortion at the repair but it's not distracting and costs way less than a new canopy.

Thanks Danny! We stop drilled the crack last Friday, will fill the hole very soon, really appreciate the help!

In the 70's I used a plastic toothpick to glue plug a drilled crack that was 2" long in a C-150...... still holding.

Using the search tool you will find plenty of threads, here on VAF, related to fixing cracks.
Good luck (y)

timely post. I'm in the middle of fixing a crack on my -10. I stop-drilled, glued an acrylic rod in using syringe with weld-on #4, then added weld-on #16 for the larger gap areas. Starting sanding now.
