New Dynon software upgrade

Rv12is / Dynon HDX with 16.5 software. Is it safe to load new software 17.1.

i upgraded from 16.4 to 17.1 in August, no issues. There may be some extra steps to update the connected avionics (the transponder/adsb, radio, etc) depending on the levels they are at. it is fairly straight forward, you should have no problems.

Wanted to find out from other RV owners if they had any issues with new software, since Vans only supports the 16.7 software.

sorry i did not realize the thread was in the model specific section when responding. Hopefully an RV12 owner will chime in.
