Lightening holes for conduit

Morning all,

So I have to create a pass through in the rib under the rear seat for the conduit running from the rear. As others have done my plan was to bring it up through the rear seat pan. Any tips or advice how to proceed at an angle and a tight space. My initial plan was to use my angle drill for an initial hole, step drill at an angle and finish with the dremel.

Thanks, james

I don't have any advice, but I was planning on doing mine along the left and ride sides, through those existing holes in the bulkheads (you can see one at the top left of your picture). Is there a benefit going under the floor?

Right or wrong, here are some photos from my build for reference. I honestly don’t recall how I drilled the holes. Probably an angle drive and then a unibit. Maybe I was to fit my small air drill between the ribs with the unibit.IMG_1567.jpegIMG_1566.jpegIMG_1565.jpegIMG_1564.jpeg

I’ve bought myself a 3D printer for just this use. I’ve honestly been paralyzed from analyzing this decision for the past few months. I simply don’t know what is going where yet and I’m scared to close that area up until I plan out literally everything else.

Thanks Greg yup that’s actually what I did angle drill to make the initial hole and then my unibit at an angle , 1st side took me all afternoon , the other side 10 mins. ;). Standard . Running 3 conduits a side .

I ran mine exactly like Greg but made the rib holes with hole cutting dies purchased at harbor freight. You get 4 varying size hole dies and they are simple to use and make a perfect hole. Die set was inexpensive and worked great.
