You mean like one of those wireless charging stations? I sorta hate the “Captain Obvious” comment I am about to make. My concern would be how quickly that technology changes. As long as I have power outlets, I am pretty sure I can charge stuff.

I suspect USB charging will be the industry standard for quite some time. I’m mainly interested in a charging stand or cradle that can be used with some confidence that the phone will stay put, and where people have mounted them.

USB-C for new aircraft, you'll get faster charging and those wireless chargers do get hot and the technology is still evolving.

I use RAM mounts -this link below is for the iPad version. I have a smaller one for the iphone mounted in a quiet are of my panel. If all else fails, my artificial horizon is the phone and a Sentry. Gotta be pretty deep in trouble to get to this point but one never knows.

I used this from Amazon. It works and phone has not fallen off except when my knee hits it which I have learned to avoid. It does get hot sometimes even to the point of iPhone is hot warning. Overall I think it’s pretty good given how handy it is.

Whatever system you choose, a temporary install might save you some grief just to make sure it does not send out interference with your com/intercom system. I have a friend who went through several USB charging ports before he landed on one that did not cause interference with his com radio.
