Wow!!! Looking at your signature list, you are one impressive Vans person! A prolific builder and an even more prolific flyer! I am lucky if I find time to fly 40 hours in a year. It is usually less than that, and in an airplane that I bought, at that! I'm feeling pretty humbled in the face of your accomplishments. Keep the progress reports coming. Nice work!

Thank you for the accolades, but It is I who am humbled by the RV experience! I have had great support from many on our field (we have 12 RVs) and lots of willing assistance! I owe a ton of credit to Doug and this fantastic forum with the awesome member "tech support" and the great build sites other builders have....I don't know how you guys have the time to do all that documentation! Thank you all!

As to the flying....the RV is the most fun you can have with your pants on! I loved the 4's, my 7 is great and I am looking forward to getting back to centreline seating in the 8! My RV grin is still there on every flight! When the 8 is finished, I and another multi time builder, who has helped me a lot during my builds, will be working on a 10 for a group of non-builders. What a wonderful hobby/sport we have!

The big difference between the RV7 and RV8 is the machine gun sounds you make in your head. They just seem more realistic when you’re strafing that random train.
