Got an email today asking to fill out a survey. Yes do you want it sooner or no leave it as scheduled.

Anyone else get this?

From time to time, Lycoming's engine production schedule changes. Sometimes unplanned delays occur due to supply chain or other circumstances. At other times, Lycoming may offer Van’s additional engine manufacturing slots on their factory schedule. When this happens, Lycoming will inform Van’s what engine models they can accommodate in those production slots, and Van’s can “move up” appropriate customer orders into those slots. We cannot predict if or when these opportunities may become available, but we’re sending this survey request so we can know your preference ahead of time.

In the event Lycoming offers a schedule change that would allow your engine to be completed on an earlier date, Van’s needs to know whether or not you are willing and able to commit to an earlier delivery. Should your engine move up on the calendar, you’ll need to be prepared make your final payment by the revised payment deadline. That date would be calculated based on the new planned manufacturing date and may be on short notice, depending on when the manufacturing slot is available. Van’s will always contact you beforewe move your engine on the schedule, and you will need to confirm. No changes will be made to your engine's price if it moves up on the calendar. When we reach out to customers with an offer to move your engine build to a slot earlier on the schedule, it’s important you respond as soon as possible because we will fill open slots in the order in which we hear back from the customers we contact.

I haven't but my order was just placed a few weeks ago , they said I was Number 501 in line, early 2027 on delivery so hoping they can pull that in

I submitted the survey stating yes. I got a call from Van's on November 8th asking if I want it moved up from April 2025 to March, and if so final payment now. So it's paid for now. 🤞

As an update, I had gotten a call before this email went out (call in late August for a November slot), and I accepted and paid in full in late August, just got my shipping notice from Anne and will be delivered next week. Order was May 2022, delivery Dec 2024 for a Thunderbolt YIO-390-EXP.
