Question on FM150 mounting

We got a 540 with the FM150 fuel servo. Do we need the Airflow Performance cable bracket kit? It looks like the standard Vans VA-182 bracket will not work.

It also seems like the throttle cable we got (from McFarlane, the standard RV-10 length) is not long enough. Our throttle and mixture are on the panel.

Yes you will need the Airflow Performance bracket as it’s a different design. I have it on my plane and it works well.
Not sure if you would need new throttle cables but I would ask Airflow Performance and they could tell you. I ordered new cables but only because I went with Aerosport’s center console throttle quadrant.

While you are taking to AirFlow Performance, ask about the FM150. The FM200 is usually the choice for the IO-540.

My understanding is that the FM200 is good for the 300HP range. I've done a port and polish, adjusted the cam timing (both done by Lycon, and added a Raven cold air intake with a FM200.
