Identify my RV6 wingtips?

Can someone help identify my RV6 wingtips? My end goal is to identify which landing-taxi lights will fit without too much fabrication.

Those are the original tips from the early '90's. What I have on SuzieQ (a -4). Those are RMD light tips which are no longer in business although I heard someone in Texas is making something similar. I put a FlyLED Quad pair for my landing light. Took a little bit of doing but nothing too difficult. I should have photo-documented a little bit more.....

Yep, I was able to install the FlyLEDs "Combo Landing/Taxi light" in mine as well. The PAR36 that was in there previously was mounted to a movable plate with adjustment screws for aiming and it was possible to drill the FlyLEDs board to match and replace it directly. Still aim-able.

I have the same pair on my -7

The photos in that thread aren't of the same wingtips though.

Looks like a great solution , thanks for the input. How dramatic was the change with your new lights?
Let see......how can I describe the difference. In the current vernacular: OMG!! The Cub was sitting in front of SuzieQ and, when I first turned it on, I was concerned with melting the fabric on her tail!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: I still have the halogen in the taxi (starboard) side and, compared to the Quad, looks like a tea candle out there!!😂 The photo in post #5 looks like the midway point of my installation but just oriented at a different angle. I also kept the adjusting screws/springs intact and is very....um......aim-able...if that is a word.... I LIKE 'em! I don't do much night flying; these are mostly so other pilots can (hopefully) better see me approaching and airport and in the pattern and the BRIGHTER the better! I will eventually replace that candle in the starboard wingtip. Sounds like a Winter project.........:giggle:❄️🌬️ I'll put the wig-wag in then as well..........

Vans had me send pictures for them to identify the wingtips. The RV-4, RV-6, RV-7 and RV-8s all share the same airfoil and the wingtips are interchangeable.

Contact Vans and send them a picture. They didn't look like batwings.

Interchangeable yes, but not the same wingtip. You have the newer style that flares out at the back. The original post has photos of the original Van's wingtip which was flat on top and not flared out at the back.
