Those are the original tips from the early '90's. What I have on SuzieQ (a -4). Those are RMD light tips which are no longer in business although I heard someone in Texas is making something similar. I put a FlyLED Quad pair for my landing light. Took a little bit of doing but nothing too difficult. I should have photo-documented a little bit more.....Can someone help identify my RV6 wingtips? My end goal is to identify which landing-taxi lights will fit without too much fabrication.

You may want to save them and post for sale as someone may want the lenses for cracked ones.Looks like a great solution , thanks for the input. How dramatic was the change with your new lights?

The photos in that thread aren't of the same wingtips though.I have the same pair on my -7
RV7 straight (not batwing) trailing edge W-715 wingtips
The builder went DAY VFR only with this build. He didn’t even install any hights, and he riveted these on. I will be installing the aeroleds vxi. If anyone is interested in a cheap set of wingtips lmk. I will entertain any offer. Btw I’m in the Atlanta areavansairforce.net
Let see......how can I describe the difference. In the current vernacular: OMG!! The Cub was sitting in front of SuzieQ and, when I first turned it on, I was concerned with melting the fabric on her tail!!Looks like a great solution , thanks for the input. Vans had me send pictures for them to identify the wingtips. The RV-4, RV-6, RV-7 and RV-8s all share the same airfoil and the wingtips are interchangeable. The photos in that thread aren't of the same wingtips though.
Interchangeable yes, but not the same wingtip. You have the newer style that flares out at the back. The original post has photos of the original Van's wingtip which was flat on top and not flared out at the back.Vans had me send pictures for them to identify the wingtips.
