Airflow Systems AC & Cowl Light

These questions are specific to the RV-10, has anyone installed the Airflow Systems AC and Aerosport Products cowl landing light together? I’m trying to figure out if there is sufficient clearance to install both? I reached out to both vendors and both thought it looked doable, but neither knew for certain and said it was a good question for the forum. Has anyone installed both?

I have the AC installed. Was trying to get the cowl light installed also, but the exhaust was an issue. Probably could have been solved with heat shields or something, but in the end, didnt use the cowl light. Actually still have the light in hand, just haven't got around to selling it yet. The housing was installed and melted, so was removed and re-glassed.

For those that have done both, I'd be interested to see how you handled the exhaust/heat, although too late for me

Good point, I would think aerosport would have had to address this since it would be an issue regardless of the AC. I’m going to follow up with them.

I called and emailed them without any answer unfortunately. I tried to get a resolution to keep it, since I had already cut the bottom cowl, but no luck. Took it to 2 shops and they said without a good amount of re-working with exhaust and cowl, it would be tough. I cut the landing lights into the leading edge, plenty of landing lights available that way. Plane was scheduled to get painted, so took it out prior to painting.
