What did you do with your RV this weekend?

On an extra paper route Saturday KDAL-KCLL-KDAL - there was an RV-6A on the ramp as we taxied in! <g>. Was gone when we got back from lunch. Was going to go out and look it over w/my captain. 1775 BBQ for lunch (first visit - FBO desk employee suggested) - could be the best BBQ and pinto beans (and homemade pickles) I’ve had. The stomach still hurts. Should have ordered a quart of those beans to go. Open Thu/Fri/Sat only. Just amazing.

Was hoping to fly the RV-6 Sunday morning for a bit before the heat got too much, but the trip ran several hours longer than planned and I was pooped. :(. Also needed to replace a garage door spring that recently snapped, so I did that Sunday morning. Home MX never stops <g>. The Saturday trip paid for the Sunday garage parts :).

Received the repaired TT Vizion control head from mid-continent, installed the new/old DSP-B roll servo (thanks Jarvis) to replace the one that failed, replaced the D100 that developed display noise issues on the way to Oshkosh with my backup spare, and spent about a day with Dynon support trying to figure if you could move all the configuration settings over from the existing 17 year old D100 to the new never been installed one I have. Dynon was superb but ultimately you have to manually reset and reconfigure a bunch of stuff and re-fly the AoA scenarios to calibrate the system. Two flights so far to check everything out but way too windy and turbulent here in Tulsa to fly the AoA configuration scenarios. Autopilot working fine.
I have an extra spare TT DSP-B servo for a good price if anyone is interested.
The joys of aviating

Took my buddy for his first RV Grin and birthday lunch at K81. For those wondering about getting in/out of an RV..... I guess "ya gotta wanna".
Also a couple of trips to Chicago for grandkid time. 2.5 hrs vs 8-9 on I80, priceless!

Popped over to W75 and parked on the grass next to the Pilot House, an old school nautical/aeronautical themed restaurant for the breakfast buffet. Love that place!
