Alternative RPM Source

Redoing the panel on my RV6A with a Lycoming O320 Engine. Took out the tach but then realized, where is my RPM coming into my Dynon engine monitor? Do I have to re-install the TACH to get the information to my EFIS? Do they make something that I can plug into the engine to measure the RPM? Can I get the RPM off the mags?

Not sad to lose the TACH. In my only flight with the plane the instrument seemed a little wonky and off (in comparison to the engine monitor that was also installed). Hoping there’s a solution out there I’m just not finding. Thanks!

The Dynon EMS gets RPM signal from your mag (or pMag if you are using that).
