ECS Failed

I’m helping get a new 12iS up and running. It has the G3X dual screen installation and in a box on the PDF screen “ ECS failed” appears but I can’t figure out what this is or how to clear the failure. I downloaded the Operator’s manual but no luck there. Any help would appreciated.

The Electrical Control System (ECS) refers to the functions provided by the GAD 27.

Not sure if a RV-12iS has a GAD 27. I didn't see one on the electrical system diagrams I downloaded for the RV-12iS. If you don't have a GAD 27, be sure that the Electrical Control System is Disabled on the LRU configuration page, or you will see this error.

I could be mistaken, but be sure to load the G3X presets from the Van's website https://www.vansaircraft.com/downloads/#GarminG3X

The presets will pre-configure some things, which may take care of this error message you're seeing.
