Elevator leading edge rivets - LP 4-3 OK?

Van's calls out AD-41 ABS rivets for the rolled elevator leading edges. They just don't seem to be as nice in terms of quality as the LP 4-3 rivets.

I'm curious as to reasons why these are spec'ed versus LP 4-3 and if there's any harm in substituting the LP 4-3s?

Grip Length

It looks like the Grip Length is different. The AD-41-ABS grip is 1/16 vs. the LP4-3 is 3/16. I used the AD-41-ABS with no issues.

Grip length make sense as an explanation. I already used them on rudder, no issues, just was wondering about the other option.
