Forget the Harley hog sound...this is the RV growl.
This is a 23 second sound grab I uploaded to Sound Cloud. It's recorded from ground level and features me approaching, flying directly overhead, and receding into the distance. RV7A with IO360 parallel valve 180 HP with Vetterman crossover exhaust system and Hartzell 2 blade CS prop, Just turn on your speaker and hit the start button.
I'm posting this as encouragement for all current builders (keep pounding those rivets).
Any feedback is welcome.

All of my neighbors (even the non-aviation ones) always tell me that they can recognize me when I fly over. The RV's just have a good sound to them! I do have one video crossing the Sunshine 400 finish line a few years ago at ~2800 RPM. THAT sounds really good 
*also a crossover exhaust
