sitting in the back of a two seater for ballast. the pilot was prepping for a faa check ride to maintain his cfi-g. the guy was in his eighties and flew like a champ except he forgot to retract the gear. nutmegsoaring

I think that is the only time I have heard of a glider with a TURBO in it.

rv8 entire airframe at airport now, painting done, intersection and gear upper and lower fairings done, maybe order engine around first of year or before the next rate increase.

I must say it was great being back in a glider again. If you get a chance to fly in one do it. It is a great feeling searching for lift to stay aloft. If you thought you could fly without rudder input then you will be quite surprised. It will not work.
