Default Glare shield and canopy trim

To those RV12 builders that went with the glare shield and canopy trim option, which would you suggest gets installed first. Does it matter? Iím leaning towards doing the canopy side trim first, then the glare shield, but would appreciate any input from those who have already done the install.

I have the side moldings but not the glare shield. I contacted Vanís adding the glare shield and they werenít aware of anyone that had installed both. They said the side moldings arenít a very popular option, so maybe you and I are the only ones who have or have considered them :-). Anyway, they sent me the attached photo of the anchor point for the glare shield. Iíve also attached the photo from the KAI showing the side molding. Youíd either have to rivet the glare shield through the side molding, or cut the side molding around the glare shield. If I did install the glare shield, I think Iíd rivet through the side molding. Anyway, thatís what my research revealed on this topic. Send photos if you opt to install both. Curious to see how it would look.

I bought both but only installed the glare shield after deciding the side panels were not worth the effort and that having easy access to the canopy bolts was more important.

I also Purchased both glare shield and side molds. 100% recommend the glare shield. I think it makes a big difference in visibility on bright days.

I never installed the side molds. I fitted them, and painted them up, but ultimately I liked the look of the canopy bolts/screws, and left them on the shelf in the hangar.
