Plunger-type stops....
If indeed a mid-canopy stop is what you're looking for, the one I'm using came from J.W. Winco company - check this URL:

I think it was only $12 or $15...had to buy two to make their minimum order...Really works well! (I think I got tipped off to this on Larry Bowen's web site).
