XCOM Radio

Has anyone bought an Xcom 760 comm radio? It is a 2-1/4 round instrument that has a lot of nice features. For VFR flight it seems like a great deal. I am thinking about this radio because of the size and it has it own intercom and music inputs. You can monitor two frequencies at once which would eliminate a second radio in my case. I would carry a handheld as a second comm. Their website is http://www.mcp.com.au/xcom760/index.html. I saw a write up in one of the magazines a month or so ago. It was either EAA or Kitplanes. After the fact I saw the other posts about the Xcom.
Any thoughts?

Mickey if you have the room the SL40 is twice the radio. It is like a laptop computer and a desktop, you get more for the money with a PC than a laptop. You loose a little with miniaturization. And yes the SL40 has more output. I am not sure about the little unit, but the SL40 allows you to listen to two freq's at the same time, like having two radios in one. Perfect for getting ATIS while still on ATC, tower or CTAF. G

The XCOM 760 does this too, which is what attracted me to it in the first place. The XCOM people say that they can provide software downloadable updates in the future for new features or upgrades. Not sure if this is good or bad! :)
