Zinc chromate question

I have a quart of PTI Zinc Chromate from Spruce. Can I use MEK for a thinner. They do not say on the can but it is MEK based so I think it would work. I just want to avoid having to buy the reducer at $9 a quart plus shipping and haz mat charges.

Toluol

Charles.. Aircraft Spruce says the PTI product is Mil-spec. TT-P-1757

This manufacturer of the same spec. product says to use toluol
