WW 300RV Leaking grease?

WW 300RV, 1.5 years and about 100 hours on it. Slinging grease, what's shown is from about 4 hours of flying. I had the same issue with my WW200, and sent it in for an overhaul. Still leaked afterwards. I had hoped by the 300 that they had this licked.

Do I just live with this mess? It's really annoying and it gets all over the windshield. I'm considering trying to seal from the outside with RTV, but I doubt it'll help.

Any suggestions or ideas?

More common than not. Lots of good posts on this site. Lycoming has the same issue. The grease separates if not rotated it seems. WW went to a different grease about 2 years ago and seems to have helped. Mine was fine before it sat in the paint shop for an extended period of time and then slung grease. Most prop shops will re-grease it especially if they handle McCauley it seems. There's a very good, authorized WW shop in northern Ohio. Jay 440-813-7494. I have heard of some customers flying in, remove prop and 6 hours later it's back. WW has gone to a slightly different design using less bearings and adding spacers. Also change the center spindle from aluminum to Teflon. (Or maybe visa-versa) Good luck. Mine was fine after the re-seal. They will update the design no cost. (For the parts) BTW it's a fairly straight forward process to do this yourself. I lived middle of Ohio and decided to take it back in to get re-sealed. Good thing you saved your box!

WW OH gave me all the headache with the 200.

Unless they updated the design since Oshkosh 2022, this is the latest iteration.
