wood stick grips

Alright guys...here's another dilemma. I have wooden stick grips with a single PTT in each. I added 2 PTT's one on each side of the panel for redundancy and am anticipating adding an autopilot soon, and my question is this: can i drill another hole and mount an A/P disconnect on the same wooden grip? And also, how do you fasten the grip to the stick.....set screw, RTV or ?

I just wrapped a layer of electrical tape around the top of the stick before sliding/coaxing the grip on. It doesn't go anywhere. Some have used set screws but not necessary in my experience.
